Who it is for
Built for the party that receives plot data
If your EUDR compliance depends on GeoJSON someone else sent you, check it before you trust it.
Importers & operators
Validate exporter GeoJSON and screen plots before you file the DDS in the EU Information System
Manufacturers & processors
Sanity-check the plot files and polygons your many vendors send, in one place.
Producers & exporters
Confirm your plots pass EUDR geometry and forest checks before you hand data to buyers.
The decision flow
How every plot polygon is analysed for EUDR compliance
Each plot clears the core compliance checks first; deeper, optional layers then add supply-chain intelligence and risk assurance.

What we check
What the EUDR polygon validator checks, in four layers
A complete EUDR compliance check on every plot,  evidence-backed and explained, never a blind yes or no.
01 Polygon validation
Free
Six structural checks confirm the file is clean, real and correctly located: geometry validity (no self-intersections), area calculation, coordinate precision and CRS, duplicate or overlap detection, and a country and admin-boundary match, so your file meets EUDR polygon requirements (6-decimal coordinates in WGS-84, polygons for plots over 4 hectares).

02 Protected-forest & baseline check
Free
Each plot is overlaid on independent forest and land datasets to establish whether it sat on forest land at the 31 December 2020 baseline and whether it touches a protected area. An overlap here is a decisive EUDR flag. Using several sources reduces false positives and makes the result defensible in an audit.

03 Commodity check (FDaP)
10% sample free · Full on paid
We estimate the likelihood that the selected commodity is actually grown on each plot, using The Forest Data Partnership (FDaP) crop-probability datasets. The free tier samples 10 percent of the plots in your file as an indicative signal. The paid tier scores every plot.

04 Post-2020 deforestation & degradation
Paid
For deeper assurance, we detect forest loss and degradation after the 2020 cut-off using Sentinel-2 satellite time-series (NDVI) and Global Forest Watch loss alerts, per plot. This forest-cut analysis is available on the paid tier.

FAQ
EUDR Polygon Validator, answered
What is the free EUDR Polygon Validator?

A free web tool that lets you upload a plot's boundary file and instantly check whether it is technically valid, and screen it for deforestation and EUDR risk. It is built for the people who receive plot data from others, so you can sanity-check what your supplier or exporter sent before you depend on it.

Who is it for?

Two main users: manufacturers and processors who receive GeoJSON plot files and a Due Diligence Statement (DDS) from their suppliers, and EU importers or buyers who receive the same from their exporters. If your compliance depends on someone else's geolocation data, this tool helps you trust it.

Is it really free? What's the catch?

Yes. You get 500 free credits when you create an account, and one credit checks one plot (polygon). No credit card is needed to start. When your free credits run out you can top up on the paid tier at 1 EUR for 100 credits.

Do I need to create an account?

Yes, a quick sign-up with your work email, phone and firm name, followed by a one-time email verification. The account keeps your uploads private to you and is how we allocate your 500 free credits.

What can I upload?

You can upload a plot boundary as GeoJSON (the format the EU system uses), and common formats such as KML or shapefile, or simply draw the plot directly on the map. You then select the commodity and run the analysis.

What does the validator actually check?

On every plot it validates the file's geometry (valid polygons, six-decimal coordinates, no overlaps or self-intersections) and screens it against forest baselines and protected areas (Global Forest Cover 2020, Global Forest Watch, protected zones). The free tier also estimates commodity likelihood on a 10 percent sample using The Forest Data Partnership (FDaP) data. The paid tier runs the FDaP commodity check and post-2020 deforestation detection (Sentinel-2) on every plot.

Does a clear result mean my shipment is EUDR compliant, is this my DDS?

No. The validator is a fast validation and screening step, not a Due Diligence Statement and not a legal compliance certificate. It helps you catch broken files and risky plots early. The DDS is still filed in the EU Information System, and full compliance also needs legality evidence. Treat the result as a confidence-building pre-check.

What do I get at the end, and can I share the report?

You get a clear result summary with a satellite map for visual inspection. You can share the report by email, and the recipient signs in with that address to open it in their Reports area under Shared with me, so sensitive plot data stays protected. Downloading the report as a PDF is available on the paid tier.

Is my plot data private and secure?

Your uploads are tied to your own account and are not shared with other users. We treat plot geolocation as commercially sensitive data and handle it accordingly.

A plot got flagged, does that mean it is deforested?

Not necessarily. A flag is a signal to review, not a verdict. Vegetation loss can also come from natural leaf-shedding or replanting. Where a plot is flagged, confirm with ground-truthing or a farm-level declaration, supported by legality proof, before treating it as non-compliant.

How is this different from TRST01Chain, MeeS and EUDR Hub?

The free validator verifies and screens individual plot files. TRST01Chain MeeS (for manufacturers) and TRST01Chain EUDR Hub (for importers and operators) manage EUDR across your entire supply chain: supplier onboarding, consolidated polygons, DDS generation, and filing to the EU Information System. The validator is the fast way in, the products run it at scale.
