The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires that coffee placed on the EU market is deforestation-free, legally produced and traceable to the plot. That evidence has to be built from farmer-level data, captured as coffee is bought rather than reconstructed afterwards.

BCK Intermark managed coffee procurement and operations without a single digital system tying farmer records and purchases together. Farmer data and transaction records sat apart from each other, which made assembling EUDR evidence a separate manual exercise.

The company wanted procurement digitised and compliance built into the same process, so that meeting EUDR did not mean running a second workflow alongside the business.
