Challenge
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires that natural rubber placed on the EU market is deforestation-free, legally produced and traceable to the plot. Meeting that standard is hardest where material passes through many hands before it reaches a processing facility.
Gadjahruku operates across a complex supply chain, with rubber moving through multiple intermediaries between the farm and the gate. Without visibility across those steps, neither traceability nor deforestation risk could be demonstrated with confidence.
